this one's for you michelle !

holiday thoughts... stolen from michelle

egg nog or hot chocolate? hot chocolate does santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? wrapped.. all the way, including the stocking stuffers. colored lights on tree/house or white? white outside, coloured inside.. this year, we're doing all coloured. do you hang mistletoe? nope, i think its ugly. when do you put your decorations up? usually around my birthday on the 14th, or whenever i have the time. what is your favorite holiday dish? turkey!! pumpkin pie!! what is your favorite holiday memory as a child? playing board games with my brother til the wee hours of morning waiting to hear santa downstairs. when and how did you learn the truth about santa? the year that i found all the gifts that were not hidden really well.. do you open a gift on christmas eve? we open gifts that mom & dad receive from the mail run. how do you decorate your christmas tree? usually, coloured lights, garland and fun ornaments that we've collected together. snow! love it or dread it?

i am sick.

i normally don't go to the doctor. i broke down and went this morning since my cold has turned into something a little more evil, a little more menacing. that's right. i've got a throat infection and was on the verge of strep throat. so, 10 days of penicillin are supposed to cure me. god i hope so. mark's home today, so we just took alex out for a walk, with a pit stop at the kiwi for white hot chocolate & the best ginger cookies on the planet, and i'm a happy camper. 5000 calories later, life is good. i weighed in for weight watchers on monday and lost 1.6 lbs last week. that set me at exactly what my weight was at my very first OBS appointment when i was 11 weeks preggo. only 29 more lbs to go.

4 months later..

So, as of my last post, I was 7 months preggo.. Alexander Mark arrived on 9/18/06, at 3:38 pm. It was the scariest, most amazing thing that I've done in my life, and I'm so proud of him and me both. Being at home is a weird thing. I really thought that I would love being a stay at home mom, but without a whole lot to do during the days except talk baby talk and change diapers, I have a whole new respect for people who CAN do be SAHM's. Good on ya's. I figure now that I'm at home all the time (and I know I've said this before), I'll have more time to blog and hopefully will become as interesting as some of the other blogs I read on a daily basis.
